The nationally ranked and now 5-time State Champion Oviedo Men's Wrestling
Team traveled to The Lakeland Center in Lakeland, Florida and competed in
the 2010 Florida State Championship Finals on 19-20 February 2010. Tournament

Oviedo wins its 5th State Championship team title - the 4th most of any team
in the history of Florida HS wrestling.

With this year's three individual State Championship titles, Oviedo now has
24 individual State Champions.

Setting a new team mark for wins in a season are Joey Hefley and Chase
Gordon at 55 wins each. The previous record was 51.

Doug Vollaro added two more pins in the State Championship Finals to push
his team record for such to 41. The previous record until this year was 35.

The Oviedo squad, Varsity and Junior Varsity combined, graduates just four
seniors this year.
