• Oviedo's final team score of 282 doubled the combined point totals of the 2nd and 3rd place teams - the 3rd and 4th ranked teams in the most recent Orlando Sentinel Wrestling Super Six rankings.
• With this tournament win, Oviedo remains undefeated on the season with six tournament wins and an 18-0 record in dual matches.
• Ray Rowland created his own celebration with an individual title in the Championship Finals.....on his Birthday!
• Michael Alpert beat the tournament's top seed in the semifinals and then dispatched the #2 seed in the Championship Finals for his individual title.
• Also earning wins over higher seeded opponents during the tournament - Corey Ray pinned the #2 seed in the semifinals; Rowland earned a win against the #1 seed in the title match. 
• Six Oviedo wrestlers have now hit the 30 or more wins mark for the season - Joey Hefley, Rowland, Chase Gordon, Lee Wildes, Jay Taylor, and Doug Vollaro.
• Gordon and Taylor remain 32-0 each for the most season wins, while Hefley, Wildes, and Vollaro are just one back at 31 wins apiece. 
• Team pin leader Taylor has pinned 28 of 30 opponents wrestled this season (two other wins by forfeit).
