OVIEDO MEN'S WRESTLING NOTEBOOK BULLETS
- Oviedo captures its ninth consecutive Seminole Athletic Conference title.
- With eight in the finals, Oviedo runs the poker table with eight wins.
- Ray Rowland, in just his second year of wrestling pulls in a Conference title over the top seed at 130.
- Stephon Jenkins, in his third year on the mats pitches a shut out over the top seed and returning state qualifier to run his record to 32-1 on the season.
- Lee Wildes picks up his second consecutive tourney win after claiming the top honor at the recent Tournament of Champions tournament.
- Chase Gordon decided to do part time duty on this day as he exited the mats three times before the normal six minute match time.
- Gordon leads the team in wins at 35, with Davin Morris and Jay Taylor in close hunt at 34.
- In addition to Gordon, Morris, and Taylor in the 30 win club, they are joined by Joey Hefley (33), Jenkins (32), Erin O'Dell (32), and Rowland (30).
- The pin leader is O'Dell at 23, with Taylor next at 20.
- Next up for the Oviedo wrestling program is the launch of the state series, the District Tournament hosted by Lake Mary high school on 7 February.
