OVIEDO MEN'S WRESTLING NOTEBOOK BULLETS

Oviedo sent six to the Championship Finals with four claiming crowns when the whistles stopped blowing - Stephon Jenkins, Chase Gordon, Erin O'Dell, and Davin Morris. Runners-up in this mid-season test in the Peach State were Joey Hefley and Jay Taylor. Others packing medals and Pecan Logs into their duffels from their northern fray for the southern trip home were Lee Wildes at 3rd and Ray Rowland with a 4th.
O'Dell continues to put in an early work day 76% of the time.
Gordon (28) has large company in leading the 20-win club, as they push the "raise my arm again toward 30" standard with several in close pursuit with impressive resumes of wins - Taylor (27), Hefley (26), Morris (26), O'Dell (25, accompanied by a subsequent 0), Jenkins and Rowland (24), with Lee Wildes also in the 20 mix (21).
Next up for the Oviedo wrestling program is the Ron Peters Tournament of Champions at Lake Mary HS on 9-10 January.
