Chase Gordon keeps pace with Jay Taylor for team wins, and likewise is 19-0 on the current campaign. In addition to Gordon and Taylor as undefeated wrestlers at the Camden Holiday Duals, they are joined by Joey Hefley, Stephon Jenkins, Erin O'Dell, and Davin Morris, all 5-0 on the day. Undefeated Oviedo wrestlers for the season are Jenkins, Gordon, O'Dell, and Taylor. The team pin leader is Taylor at 15; while the top pin percentage leader remains O'Dell at 14 pins in 15 wins. Steve "Tyler" Jentsch recorded a pin in rodeo-like fashion -- 8 seconds. The team launched a new motivational mantra on the day, led by in-attendance Oviedo Wrestling graduate and current University of Wyoming wrestler, Thrasher Porcher -- "Spirit Fingers"...the new craze created a team frenzy. Next up for the Oviedo Lions is the Oviedo-hosted, nationally-recognized Brute/Zac Jarzynka Sunshine Wrestling Classic at Oviedo High School on 29-30 Dec. This event will also include a college tournament that takes place on 28-29 Dec.
