If you notice any corrections or changes, please do not hesitate to contact me at bparsons@orlandosentinel.com.

What they're saying: Coach Bird on the team's success the past two years: "Once you start winning, your whole program starts believing."

...on wrestling against the best competition you can find: "You gotta find someone out there to put you back in your place. You always want to learn from your mistakes and those losses during the season help you get ready for when the count at the end."

...on heading into the season: "Our guys are pretty hungry and excited about the season."

...on the role of the team's veterans: "We've set time aside for older wrestlers to work with the younger guys this year and we've expanded it. It's a great atmosphere with the older guys helping the younger ones."
